Music in Canada, Past & Present: A Composer's View

Join in this talk that will examine the role played by music in Canadian life past and present. John was with the Faculty of Music, U of T, for 38 years and will outline the evidence on which historians have based their accounts of Canada's musical past, among both aboriginal and settler cultures. Recorded examples will illustrate the achievement of composers, songwriters, and collectors.
