About The Fitness Centre

Access the Fitness Centre seven days a week including evenings and weekends by dropping in during open hours to workout independently. Or register for personal training services and get customized training geared specifically for you.

Personal Training Services 

Set up individual training session that work best for your schedule. Plan your session on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis! Individual training sessions include a customized fitness plan to meet all of our fitness goals. 

Individual Training: One 55 minute personal training session.                                                                                 $50.00/Fitness Centre Member

Team Training: One 55 minute personal training session in a team of 2 or 3                                                                                    Team of 2: $30/Fitness Centre member                                     Team of 3: $20/Fitness Centre Member

 

How Do I get started?

Visit the Program Office to complete the following steps for becoming a Fitness Centre member.

  1. Register for an Active Living Centre (ALC) membership.
  2. Provide us with a doctor's note giving you permission to participate in exercise and personal training at the NYSC. Standard consent forms available in the Program Office. * Fitness consent form is valid for two years, unless there is a change in medical condition
  3. Sign up for a one-time $50.00 fitness assessment with our personal trainer.

 

 


Group Training | Here's an opportunity to test out what it's like to work directly with a personal trainer in a small group setting! Sessions are small for more dynamic and hands on training with a maximum of 4 people. You will receive a fitness program specific to your body and goals. In addition to class, you will receive support with nutrition and at home workouts. Class is cancelled on August 7 and September 4.

Boot Camp for Weight Loss | This high intensity program is a circuit style class which will challenge your cardiovascular health, strength , balance and flexibility. We take minimal rest in between exercise stations and work in a circuit to keep your heart rate in the fat burning zone. Class is cancelled on August 7 and September 4                                                                   Early bird price: $45
Advantage: $50
| Non-Members: $90

Members Activity Program Plan (MAAP)
